Create Your Backyard Resort

A swimming pool is an investment. The landscape around it determines whether you get a backyard resort or just a hole with water.

We design and install pool landscapes that create the atmosphere you’re after — without the maintenance headaches.

The Pool Landscaping Challenge

Not Every Plant Belongs Poolside

Some plants drop flowers, leaves, or fruit that clog filters and stain surfaces. Others have invasive roots that damage pool structures. Many attract bees that make poolside lounging unpleasant.

We select plants specifically for pool proximity — lush tropical aesthetics without the cleanup problems.

Hardscape Matters

Pool decks need to be slip-resistant when wet, comfortable on bare feet in full sun, and durable enough to handle chlorinated water splashes. Material selection isn’t just about looks.

Privacy Without Claustrophobia

Most pool owners want screening from neighbors. But solid walls make spaces feel smaller and block breezes. We design layered planting that provides privacy while maintaining openness.

Common Questions

What plants are safe to put near a pool?

The best pool-side plants have minimal leaf drop, non-invasive roots, and no messy flowers or fruit. We commonly use Foxtail Palm, Traveler's Palm, Bird of Paradise, Agave, Dracaena, and Mondo Grass around pools. We avoid heavy shedders, fruit-bearing trees, and species with aggressive root systems that could damage pool structures.

How much does pool landscaping cost?

Pool landscaping typically costs ₱5,000 to ₱8,000 per square meter, depending on design complexity, plant sizes, hardscape materials, and lighting requirements. A typical pool area landscape covering 80 to 150 square meters ranges from ₱400,000 to ₱1,000,000.

Will plant roots damage my pool?

They can, if you choose the wrong species. Trees like bamboo (running varieties), ficus, or rubber trees have aggressive root systems that can crack pool walls and lift decking. We select only species with non-invasive root systems and place them at appropriate distances from pool structures.

How do you handle privacy screening around pools?

We design layered planting that provides screening from neighbors while maintaining openness and airflow. This typically combines tall palms or clumping bamboo as a backdrop, mid-height Heliconia or Ti Plants as a middle layer, and lower accent plants at the front. The result feels private without being boxed in like a solid wall would.

Can you landscape around an existing pool?

Yes. We regularly work with existing pools, designing and installing landscape around the current structure. We assess the pool's construction, existing drainage, and available planting space to create a design that integrates with what you already have. No need to build a new pool to get a resort-style landscape.
