Piedra Pinoy direct from Ilocos Sur typically prices 25-40% below retail Bulacan resale on equivalent stone, and 15-30% below comparable imported alternatives (Chinese piedra china, Indonesian sandstone). Direct quarry sourcing eliminates middleman markup. For project-volume buyers, the savings compound quickly.

Piedra Pinoy is locally-sourced Philippine natural stone, primarily quartzite and sandstone from Ilocos Sur quarries. Piedra China is imported stone, typically from China, often slightly different in color, density, and price. Piedra Pinoy supports local quarries and avoids import logistics. Piedra China pricing varies with shipping costs and exchange rate. For most Philippine projects, Piedra Pinoy offers better value and authentic local sourcing.

12x12 inch is the most common residential pathway size at ₱300/piece. Wide enough to be comfortable underfoot, small enough to handle natural stone variation. For wider walkways or two-person paths, 12x18 inch (₱500/piece) reduces grout lines. 12x12 inch also doubles as the standard residential stepping-stone size set in lawn, gravel, or low ground cover.

12x18 inch (₱500) and 12x24 inch (₱600) handle vehicle loads when properly bedded on compacted aggregate base. For heavier commercial or estate driveways, 20x20 inch (₱1,150) with reinforced base is preferred. Confirm load specifications and base requirements with your contractor or our team before final spec.

Crazy cut is irregular natural-edge stone. Pieces of varying shapes and sizes, hand-cut at the quarry without standard dimensional cuts. Sold by cubic meter (₱8,500/m³) rather than per piece. Used for organic-shaped pathways, mosaic floors, and natural-looking landscape paving where regular grid patterns would feel manufactured. Minimum order 1 m³.

Direct from Ilocos Sur. The stone is hand-cut at the quarry to traditional baldosa dimensions. The same partner supplies our Vigan tiles and bricks. The same direct-source relationship. We do not source through Bulacan resale chains, which mark up prices significantly.

We supply stone. Installation through partnered landscape contractors or your own contractor with our installation guide. For larger projects (500+ sqm) we can recommend installers experienced with natural stone. Installation method varies: dry-laid on aggregate for pathways, mortar-set for driveways and walls.

Pathways: 4 to 6 inch compacted aggregate base, fine sand setting bed, pavers laid with 1/4 to 1/2 inch joints filled with polymeric sand or fine gravel. Driveways: 6 to 8 inch reinforced base, mortar-set joints. Walls: thinset mortar with stone-rated adhesive. Wet locations: sealed before installation to prevent moisture absorption during grouting.

Decades. Natural quartzite handles tropical climate well: rain, UV, humidity, temperature variation. Properly installed installations from 30+ years ago are still functional. Sealing every 3-5 years extends finish quality. The stone itself is essentially permanent. Replacement is needed only for damaged installation, not the stone.

Yes for sufficient project volume. VisMin delivery requires inter-island freight coordination, sea container or RoRo logistics, and pre-scheduled timing windows. Smaller orders are best served by Luzon-wide delivery. Bulk orders to Cebu, Iloilo, Davao quoted with logistics included.

Yes. We can ship a 10-piece sample set across available sizes to your project address. Sample cost (approximately ₱2,000-4,000) is credited against any order over ₱50,000. For larger procurement decisions, we can also coordinate quarry visits to our partner for B2B clients.

Most installations benefit from natural stone sealer applied after installation. For exterior, seal every 3-5 years to maintain stain resistance. For pool surrounds, use chlorine-resistant sealer. For interior, sealing is optional but extends finish life. Annual cleaning with stone-safe cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon) on natural stone.

Properly bedded 12x18 and 12x24 tiles handle residential vehicle loads (up to 5-ton trucks for delivery). Heavier commercial traffic (10-ton+) requires 20x20 inch minimum with reinforced base specification. We can provide load engineering reference on request for procurement spec sheets.
